OFFICIAL: We are innovative! – Completion of the Innovation Manager Academy program
After 9 months of hard work, commitment, gaining new knowledge and breaking new patterns, we can officially write that our company has successfully completed the program organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development – Innovation Manager Academy.
Academy of Innovation Manager is a program that is directed to the management and, in the case of companies in the SME segment, also to the owners. The most important goal of the Program is to obtain high competence in the field of shaping innovative culture in the company, organization of work and management of risk and the entire innovation cycle.
The program was attended by 86 people from 26 enterprises, including a representative of WIG-20 Biomed Lublin.
The purpose of the program was to prepare the enterprise for innovation implementation. The classes included topics such as:
- Open Innovation
- Design Thinking
- Lean Managment
- Business Model Canvas
- Innovation Strategy
- Organizational Structure
The greatest asset of the classes were, without a shadow of a doubt, the lecturers, who are practitioners of the above methods and have often implemented them in companies. As a result, they were able to share their practical rather than theoretical knowledge with us – the participants.
In addition to classes in the form of lectures and exercises, the program also included 60h mentoring support. Our advisors in the program were Przemysław Paw from progressinstitute.pl and Piotr Grabowski from travelduck.pl. As part of the mentoring, we were able to benefit from a wealth of mentoring knowledge and professional experience.
Many months of work have led to a number of changes in our company:
- we have increased employment 3 times
- we increased the scale of turnover 4 times
- we became a limited liability company
- we moved to a new office building in the center of Bielsko-Biała
- we started using a new CRM system
- we started to use a new tool for financial management
- we gained new tools for work (Design Thinking, Open Innovation, Business Model Canvas or Lean Management)
- we continue to work with Interim Managers from the management areas: finance, projects, sales and development
Today we can confidently say that the work done under the Program has not been in vain, and the time spent in this area has paid off handsomely.
We are grateful to the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development for preparing such an excellent and reliable program! We are glad that we could be part of the whole process.
