We have been comfortable in the medical industry – with a particular focus on rehabilitation and orthopedics – for almost forever. This is due to our team’s personal experience and passion for all kinds of holistic activities – including in the area of online branding.
Thus, we very eagerly accepted offers to cooperate in increasing the amount of organic traffic directed to vitallclinic.pl.
The story in this case is interesting in that for quite a long time we were in talks about building a website along with SEO activities, but in the end we did not reach an agreement and the clinic started cooperation with another contractor in the area of building a website, and in time also activities related to acquiring organic traffic. Interestingly – the choice fell on one of the most reputable SEO agencies in Poland.
Unfortunately – as is often the case in such cases – the agency did not deliver the expected effect. Traffic in 14 months of cooperation increased by only 36%, which, with a relatively new site, did not allow to acquire customers, and thus prevented development in this segment.
What were the main reasons for failure?
- Lack of valuable links directing to the domain
- Lack of on-site optimization – only tips and guidelines were sent
- Lack of blog content and related recommendations
- Lack of content optimization for the most important keywords
To recap – the SEO efforts of a reputable agency amounted to sending monthly guidelines for on-site activities with the expectation that the client would implement them within the site itself. However, this is an approach that is not right in our philosophy.
Why doesn’t just sending guidelines work?
- You probably don’t have the resources to implement the guidelines
- It’s very possible that people on your team don’t feel confident interfering with the content of the site, even if they have experience as a webmaster – they usually don’t have SEO competence
- The guidelines provide guidance to people with different competencies – copywriters, seers, programmers – by default one person is designated to handle the site
These are the reasons why our model of operation is based primarily on execution and implementation of the established plan. Our priority is to deliver results, and this is not possible without the dedication of man-hours by a specialist.
So what did the SEO efforts look like for this project?
We started with a standard SEO Audit, which showed us what was written above – realistically very little was done, hence the lack of results. We prepared a document, which we presented at client interviews, and moved on to action.
Actions were carried out regularly every month, and individual decisions were made and based on data pulled from analytical tools such as Ahrefs and Semstorm. The goal was to maximize the effects in the form of increased traffic, and this was achieved – you can see it below:

The cooperation continues to this day – as the vast majority of those we undertake – and to improve conversions and increase brand awareness, we made a new website with ultra-fast Headless CMS + WordPress technology, which can be seen at vitallclinic.pl.
